Notice – Information Available on Proposed Landfill Expansion

The County of Franklin Solid Waste Management Authority is proposing to expand its existing landfill on County Route 20 in the Towns of Constable and Westville.  The Authority is preparing an Environmental Impact Statement for the proposed landfill expansion, and recently solicited public comments on specific environmental issues or areas of concern relative to the proposed landfill expansion.  A Final Scoping Document has been prepared following a review of comments received during the public scoping process, which was conducted in April and May of 2008.  Click on this link to read the Final Scoping Document and for more information on the proposed landfill expansion project: http://franklincony.org/content/Generic/View/18
